Meeting Needs
Our dedicated staff work directly with foster families and visit each child monthly to assess overall health and development. These monthly visits allow us to quickly identify when a child has additional needs, such as supplemental nutrition or medical issues.
Eight Cities and Growing
LWB's Foster Care Program is changing lives in eight cities: Arua, Jinja, Lira, Pakwach, Mukono, Iganga, Fort Portal, Mbale.
Our goal is to grow our program and provide more loving homes to even more children across Uganda.
Family Strengthening and Reunification
When possible, reunification with the birth family is the best outcome for a child. That is why, when pursuing reunification, LWB takes specific steps towards family strengthening, including addressing the original cause of separation and ongoing support for the family, such as counseling, housing, and parenting support.
